Hey little rabbits,
today im going to discuss a very serious topic. the “L” word.
“I love you.” the three most over used words in the world. Do we even know the meaning of love anymore?
We dont realise the potential danger we’re putting out there just by saying it. This short phrase can either make a life worthwhile, or completely ruin lives. In my experience, I’ve seen it ruin lives much more than it makes them.
We all seem to think that love in the movies, Is what real life love is like. Well reality check everyone, It’s not like that. They’re actors. They dont really love one another. There is no way anyone could know what it feels like to be in love after just watching it on a cinema screen. It’s a deep emotion, that’s so hard to understand, even those who actually are in love can’t be one hundred percent sure of what they’re feeling.
Here is a situation I often see..
A guy meets a girl. They go on a few dates. After a week or so they’ll start seeing each other and soon announce one another as boyfriend/girlfriend. after a few days of this title, they’ll then go on to announce how much they love one another.
STOP. Does anyone else see what’s wrong here. they’ve known each other little longer than a month, and they’re in love?!?!?! you can’t really get to know a person in such a short amount of time. so how can you claim you love them?!
These are the “relationships” that really wind me up. especially seeing as how they NEVER last.
I’m not bitter about not being in a relationship, it just winds me up to see how people are so wasteful with a potentional good thing. its never about whats best for the relationship, or the one they “love”, its all about personal gain with a lot of people, which is what makes me wonder about the “love” they have for someone. would their happiness not come before your own if you really loved them? I think it would. selfish, selfish people.
People also need to be able to distinguish between love and lust. The phrase “love at first sight” is so inaccurate. Lust at first sight is much more appropriate, don’t you think? Appearances shouldn’t be important. But they are. We wouldn’t notice anyone if we thought they were unattractive. And therefore we would never fall for anyone. And sex is not love. It’s not a special thing anymore. It used to be, but once lust took over, anyone had sex.
I think we all need to take a step back and decide if we really do know what love is. Love is not like romeo and juliet, it’s not a fairy tale. It’s one of the hardest things for a human to feel and it can cause so much destruction if thrown around as it is today.
