Ah, the start of college is coming upon us. For an unknown reason we are all placing our strongest hopes and dreams on this. It’s a new place, a new start and a chance to begin again if we so choose. Theoretically we could shave off all our hair, or die it pink, or have any number of piercings and this would not seem odd as we are not going back to familiar people and familiar surroundings, but we are beginning all over again. And yet in all honesty, what is the difference? We are going back into an educational establishment that will again involve the world of learning, but more importantly, the world of trying to make new friends, of new relationships, of new and old enemies, and the life of cliques and groups that you never quite feel a part of. The undeniable truth is that even though it is a ‘new start’, if you, like me I have to admit, are going to Prior Pursglove College then you’re not really leaving very many people behind, but going on with them into this new experience.

Now while I make this sound very negative, I am still excited for this experience to happen, for the options of what you want to learn and whether you even want to show up to lessons. To EMA and actually getting up early enough to actually make the college bus. To the parties and the nights out and the wasting of EMA in the pub and scrounging money to get the college bus. So to all others who are starting this adventure soon, I say good luck and I hope that it all works out. :]
